Summary

The Medicine - Residency division is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Program Management. This position will include development, accreditation, finance, human resources, recruitment and day-to-day operations and knowledge of the multiple systems utilized. This requires managing an increasing scope and complexity of duties while providing leadership and management skills. Successful candidates will possess fundamental knowledge of graduate medical education (GME), accreditation, operations, and academic health systems to serve multiple Internal Medicine (IM) subspecialty program directors and their trainees and will be managing more than one subspecialty program.

Job Duties

  • Handles an increasing scope and complexity of duties including ability to effectively multitask, communicate and manage many personality types. 
  • Identifies, prioritizes and executes issues while working independently and meeting deadlines.
  • Functions as liaison along with Program Director (PD), training site personnel, and the Designated Institutional Officer (DIO); other departments, divisions, fellows and outside agencies, i.e. American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) and other medical boards.
  • Administrative responsibilities include evaluations/credentialing, recruitment, accreditation, information technology, human resources, finance and professional development.
  • Plans strategically with leaders to develop and present long-term strategies to ensure the viability, growth and enhancement of programs.
  • Identifies, develops and implements policies and procedures to comply with residency and accreditation guidelines and provide guidance on changing regulations and institutional policies.
  • Supervises organizing audio/visual needs, planning meetings, conferences, events.
  • Completes training verification forms, vacation/sick leave, fellowship credentialing, licensure and In-Training exams; and processing new/continuing/separating allocation forms.
  • Monitors and manages annual program budget, monitors expenses, secures resources/ funding.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of post-grad medical training programs and accreditation agencies.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications.
