Job Title:  Senior Coordinator, Program Management
Division:  School of Medicine

Location:  Houston, TX
Salary Range:  $57,320 -$67,435
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Curriculum will provide administrative and program support to the School of Medicine Curriculum Office's Dual Degrees and Pathways The coordinator will assist with various educational activities by serving in this key front-line role by providing administrative support for Undergraduate Medical Education Course Directors. This role also administratively supports operations to satisfy accreditation standards.

Job Duties

  • Ensures programs align with and meet compliance and accreditation guidelines; may provide guidance and leadership in the accreditation process.
  • Plans, implements, and oversees education programs and activities.
  • Works with deans and educational leaders to implement procedures for CQI of processes used to administer curricula.
  • Works closely with course faculty and staff to maintain adherence to procedures and deadlines.
  • Provides content development support for programs and activities. 
  • Participates in comprehensive reviews of the curriculum including information from each course and clerkship for the assessment of the longitudinal curriculum
  • Assists with the day-to-day operations of the dual degree and pathway programs. 
  • Manages critical tasks related to the annual review processes in collaboration with course directors. 
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

  • Four years of relevant work experience in an academic institution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with commitment to excellence in individual and team performance.Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and efficiency, with strong attention to detail.
  • Administrative expertise in higher education setting.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.
  • Strong work ethic, with ability to work collaboratively and productively with institutional and external programs, partners and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgement to solve problems with diplomacy and discretion, including management of issues with a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
