Salary Range:  $57,320 - $67,435

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Program Management, plays a pivotal role in supporting the administrative and operational functions of the Neurosurgery Educational Program. This includes oversight of undergraduate medical education, fellowship programs, clinical clerkships, and continuing medical education (CME) initiatives.

 

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all accreditation standards, particularly those related to the CAST-accredited fellowship programs. The Senior Coordinator will provide strategic support and leadership in maintaining accreditation status and promoting academic excellence across all educational offerings.

 

Job Duties

Manages the day to day operation of the neurosurgery education program as it relates to the two fellowship programs
and medical students.

Fellowship Program:

  • Coordinates the collection of various information and data for the fellowship CAST accreditation reviews.
    Communicates information regarding conferences, events, and meetings in a timely manner to faculty, residents,
    fellows, etc.
  • Maintains up-to-date information on faculty and trainee scholarly activity which is required to be reported on a
    quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for all activity related to the medical students that rotate through Neurosurgery.
    *update department elective list and download roster prior to rotation.
  • Onboards medical students at all sites.
  • Schedules core faculty interviews while on rotation
  • Sets up e-value evaluations every 2-4 weeks.
  • Sends welcome email and itinerary to new students.

 

Support of residency program:

  • Updates spreadsheet for grand rounds attendance.
  • Runs monthly duty hours report.
  • Resident parking.
  • Inputs monthly resident call schedule.

 

Grand Rounds:

  • Responsible for visiting professor lectures.
  • Sets up as vendors.
  • Schedules travel arrangements, honorarium, faculty meetings, dinner
  • Order plaques.
  • Responsible for in person conferences - room reservations, food.
  • Assists program coordinator with graduation, interview season, resident functions

 

Administrative responsibilities:

  • Ordering office supplies.
  • Resident and faculty lab coat ordering, loupes, lead aprons & lead glasses.
  • Concur support for resident program - delegate for reivew of submissions per policy.
  • Jagger ordering related to education program.
  • Assist with department celebration/employee morale events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience managing an education program.
