Job Purpose

This position will provide direct support to Faculty Group Practice providers, managing their clinical activities that include but are not limited to management of clinical templates, maintaining referral integrity, patient financial clearance and internal OR block utilization. This position reports directly to the Division Administrator for the General Surgery and Surgical Oncology Service line providing clinical administration to the Service line and Division Chief supporting the clinical DYADs for the diseased-based clinics for Gastroenterology Cancer and multidisciplinary clinics in the Dan L Duncan Cancer Center.

Job Duties
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of call schedules to ensure appropriate tasks are completed.
  • Assist the Division Administrator in section based program development, network integrity, referral capture & marketing initiatives required for successful growth of clinical practice.
  • Provide integrated support for compliance with FGP policies around patient experience, patient access, clinical reporting, compensation plan reporting and other relevant practice and leadership initiatives.
  • Ensure FGP policies for financial and revenue integrity are appropriately managed on a daily basis. This includes validating charge capture, managing bad debt and complying with missing charge and closing encounter policies.
  • Work with providers in helping review their referral base and assist with closing the loop.
  • Track and manage the operational aspects of the OR and outpatient surgery block time utilization.
  • Organize and prepare decision support data and reports for executive leadership review.
  • Serve as staff on the committees for multidisciplinary clinical growth as part of the BCM and BSLMC Joint Venture Operational Excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience Required: Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
