The Department of Medicine, Section of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Coordinator for day-to-day business operations for the Transplant Hepatology Section in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Surgery. The candidate will work alongside physicians, staff and leadership plus external vendors in addition to completing credentialing, managing purchase orders, placing supply orders, running reports in EPIC/cube. In relation to financial activity, the candidate will monitor expense spending, coordinate department meetings, retreats, and events, and perform other job duties as assigned.

Job Duties

  • Analyzes and communicates financial and productivity activity on a regular basis, including presenting financial at weekly meetings (revenue cycle, productivity in relation to wRVU, and volume data).
  • Prepares monthly reports and presentations, including summary reports with proposed improvement plans.
  • Monitors BSLMC EPIC  and Baylor reports for missing charges, note closures, and charge capture using advanced knowledge of BCM and BSLMC systems.
  • Oversees BSLMC outreach program, including referral flow and website management for the Transplant Hepatology program in Surgery and Medicine. 
  • Processes credentialing (initial and reappointment) and annual faculty appointments.
  • Assists with onboarding of new faculty and staff.
  • Supports faculty with reimbursements on licenses, travel, and academic memberships, tracking expenses against financial budget allowance.
  • Manages PO, deposit checks, submit shopping cart requests, and order supplies.
  • Coordinates department meetings, retreats and annual courses including marketing, strategic planning and logistics.
  • Supports SuccessFactors personnel related transactions.
  • Provides support to faculty and staff in the section.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Credentialing experience
  • Reimbursement experience.
