The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is searching for a highly motivated and talented Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to support one Chief and faculty at Harris Health Systems, Ben Taub Hospital. The candidate will provide and execute business support and processes for one chief, several certified nurse midwifes, and other divisional faculty.  As OB/GYN is located in various locations, the candidate will work as a liaison with other central departments. 


This position will be located at Ben Taub Hospital.

Job Duties

  • Supports faculty medical directors in two separate divisions along with the faculty associated with each division.
  • Coordinates calendar and meetings for all faculty assigned.
  • Maintains QGenda calendars for all faculty assigned.
  • Maintains minutes and assists with agendas, academic presentations and publications.
  • Coordinates faculty interviews on behalf of both medical directors.
  • Manages all recruitment activities including coordinating faculty visits, creating interview schedules, travel and lodging. 
  • Assists with credentialing for all divisional physicians for Harris Health Systems (HHS) gathering, maintains required documents, and obtains signatures. 
  • Creates onboarding schedules for new faculty/staff within the divisions.
  • Assists Chief and Director with all regulatory and preparatory functions to maintain accreditation.
  • Maintains and accumulates required reports and manages and drafts comprehensive and complete minutes for reviews.
  • Acts as the liaison between Baylor, TCH, and HHS in support of our departmental missions.
  • Processes all reimbursements for expenses and travel using Concur and SRM if necessary.
  • Tracks all memberships and licensees for renewal; submits appropriate reimbursement requests through Concur.
  • Maintains fiscal expenditures from expense fund for each faculty.
  • Coordinates day-to-day business and financial activities of core faculty located at Harris Health locations.
  • Coordinates mail/package transportation among our affiliated institutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.
