Title:  Senior Coordinator, Business Operations

Summary

Assists department chair, division head, administrator, or project director in a variety of administrative duties. May assist in analyzing and recommending changes in the policies and procedures of organizational unit.

 

Job Duties
  • Oversees entries in SAP for HR transactions, such as new hires, terminations, salary or FTE changes, etc.  
  • Participates in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget for the organizational unit; may approve expenditures in SAP up to authorized amount.
  • May monitor financial activity of the organizational unit by compiling, reviewing and reconciling the financial accounts.
  • Communicates College policy to faculty and staff in the organizational unit, responds to policy questions, and develops internal procedures to insure compliance with policy.
  • May supervise office support staff, direct their work activities, administer performance evaluations, and recommend salary increases.
  • Handles day-to-day operations of the organizational unit, including the purchase of equipment and supplies.
  • May be responsible for recruiting professional, technical, and administrative personnel.
  • May be responsible for organizing and coordinating special events.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience Required: Four years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.

  • Requires above-average communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Supervises non-supervisory employees.
  • Maintains clear communication with customer regarding mutual expectations. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for correcting customer-service problems.
