BIPAI seeks highly qualified candidates for the role of Senior Coordinator, Business Operations. This position will provide financial and administrative support to the BIPAI Director of Business Operations as well as to the Program Director and Deputy Program Director of the Tingathe Program at Baylor College of Medicine Children's Foundation Malawi (BCM-CFM). The position will be a liaison between the Houston BCM/BIPAI office and BCM-CFM by supporting the team on the ground in Malawi.

Job Duties
  • Creates and analyzes departmental financial reports using SAP
  • Administers grants and contracts, pre-award (developing budgets, assisting in application preparation, etc.) and post-award (monitoring expenditures, sub-awards and preparing financial reports and invoices, etc.)
  • Reviews, Submits and Approves travel for the section
  • Oversees the communication and implementation of BCM policy within the organizational unit to faculty and staff. Responds to questions concerning policy and develops internal policies and procedures.
  • Oversees entries in SAP for HR transactions, such as new hires, terminations, salary or FTE changes
  • Reviews and updates cost and effort distributions in SAP
  • Provides finance and administrative support to faculty, management and staff to assure continuity of operations
  • May supervise and direct the activities of clerical/secretarial staff to assure the accurate and timely completion of required responsibilities and special projects.
  • Reviews expenditures from fund sources to verify accuracy and need and compliance to budgetary limitations.
  • Supports and coordinates monthly and quarterly report completion and compilation in accordance with grant requirements.
  • Researches and resolves problems and issues in SAP, including providing additional support as required for expenditures and travel reimbursements.
  • Facilitates ordering supplies through BCM channels
  • Helps to coordinate meeting logistics, travel arrangements and other coordination of events and trainings.
  • Receives and disseminates information accurately and promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Required: Four years of relevant experience.
