Summary

The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations supports the mission of the Office of Student Affairs by providing business support for office operations and medical students, including coordinating financial and business processes and liaising with central departments. This position provides administrative support to the Deans of Student Affairs and various areas of the Student Affairs office (events, student activities, etc.). This position may provide receptionist support to the office.

Job Duties

  • Coordinates the day-to-day business and financial processes for the department.
  • Monitors financial activity by compiling, reviewing, and reconciling financial accounts.
  • Works with Division Lead to process and analyze monthly reports to monitor spend on all OSA accounts; works with team to make corrections or purchases to properly utilize all funds center revenue. 
  • Tracks student compliance and follows up with non-compliant students (annual trainings and attestations and vaccinations). 
  • Reviews expenditures from fund sources to verify accuracy, need, and compliance.
  • Assists with credentialing and onboarding faculty and staff.
  • Coordinates department meetings, events, retreats, and other functions.
  • Processes all medical student badging and training requirements in conjunction with affiliated institutions. 
  • Processes/tracks medical student leave of absences (LOAs) and other change of status procedures. 
  • Manages NICER (shadowing and research in Baylor College of Medicine affiliated hospitals) program for medical students.
  • Proctors Clinical Science and Basic Science examinations.
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
