Summary
The Center for Precision Environmental Health (CPEH) at Baylor College of Medicine has an exceptional opportunity available to work with the Faculty and Staff of the academic unit as a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations. The position will support both new as well as seasoned investigators who have chosen to join the Center and develop a world-class research unit focused on studying how the environment influences health. Duties include a variety of administrative functions related to finance, scheduling, coordination, and decimation of policies and procedures.

This position is located in Houston, TX and offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Job Duties
• Serves as point of contact in the department for general business and financial inquiries.
• Schedules appointments/meetings for faculty and senior staff, primarily for the Center Director.
• Makes travel arrangements and reservations; including for new recruitment candidates.
• Processes personnel related transactions in SuccessFactors.
• Submits positions for approval through the position management process. Assists with onboarding faculty and staff; coordinate with Human Resources as required.
• Manages faculty and trainee appointments and reappointments.
• Prepares and approves requisitions.
• Responsible for ordering and maintaining office supplies, subscriptions, dues, paying invoices and processing travel reimbursements via SAP/Concur/JAGGAER; including check requests, cash requests and journal voucher transfers for the unit.
• Places work orders for facility and equipment repairs as well as maintenance.
• Composes formal and informal correspondence including, but not limited to, creating and formatting presentations and website updates.
• Assists with updating faculty CVs.
• Assists with the department’s timekeeping.
• Serves as the Departments Concur Point of Contact and expert.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects at the same time and the ability to function well under deadlines.
• Strong communication (oral and written) skills with all levels of employees.
• Computer software and word processing skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive and confidential issues.
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task.
