Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Department of Ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Senior Coordinator, Business Operations. This role will perform daily human resources transaction functions and administrative duties. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail-orientation, and able to leverage previous experience to support the Department.

The Department of Ophthalmology and the Cullen Eye Institute provide educational programs for ophthalmology residents and fellows, medical and graduate students, research scientists, and practicing ophthalmologists; support research in the structure, function and diseases of the eye and the visual system; offer the highest quality eye care available; and sponsor public programs for prevention of eye disease and injury.

Job Duties

60% Human Resources
•    Performs human resource personnel transactions in SuccessFactors including position approvals/coordination, recruiting, and onboarding. 
•    Performs and oversees the faculty onboarding and offboarding process including position submission, obtaining approvals, documentation, tracking, pre-hire steps, and communication. 
•    Performs the credentialing process for new faculty members service Baylor Medicine and affiliate institutions. 
•    Coordinates the staff and learner onboarding and offboarding process. 
•    Creates and manages the Sponsored Guest Accounts (SGA) for voluntary faculty, learners, and trainees.
•    Schedules interviews on behalf of the hiring manager and supported faculty.  

30% Administrative Coordination
•    Submits facility requests and work orders
•    Prepare and maintain support documents for leadership and faculty, as needed. 
•    Schedule and organize appointments, conferences, and meetings for the department.
•    Arrange travel and submit requests in Concur for Faculty and Department leadership. 

10% Special Projects 
•    Assists the Department Administrator and Associate Administrator with Special Projects. 
•    Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Four years of relevant experience.
