Summary
The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine section in the Department of Medicine is recruiting a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations to work with our Critical Care teams. This person will be responsible for administrative support for all critical care providers in the section including shift scheduling, reimbursements, managing Continueing Medical Education (CME) budgets, credentialing, payroll questions, physician productivity, and general administrative needs.
Job Duties
- Effectively manage day to day scheduling of the critical care group which includes physicians and advanced practice providers. Schedules will be uploaded into Amion and QGenda for reporting and communicated to Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center Medical Staff Office for posting as required by Joint Commission.
- Reports on and analyzes physician productivity and shift trends and work with Medical Director to make any shift adjustments necessary.
- Manages initial HR process for new recruitment including credentialing processes.
- Manages and analyzes financial reports tracking physician expense and operating expense to ensure group is spending within allocated budget.
- Manages supplemental pay process for critical care group including gathering and validating time sheets, creating supplemental pay documents, submitting budget revisions, obtaining affiliate approval, and submission for payout.
- Manages the on-boarding process and provide training for new providers regarding billing practices and procedures.
- Manages calendar for Medical Director and Chief of Service.
- Gathers quality and productivity metrics and calculate bonus payouts quarterly and annually.
- Responsible for credentialing process for new providers and re-credentialing for existing providers.
- Assigns death certificates.
- Audits and analyzes billing work queues and implement improvement plans as necessary
- Manages didactic activities for fellows, residents, and medical students.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
