The Department of Radiology is seeking a Senior Clinical Operations Associate to manage the daily operations and performance of our hospital based radiology services. Build service driven partnerships with our Affiliated Hospitals to ensure that current and long-term business goals are met. Works with Medical Director to implement quality improvement and patient satisfaction programs. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in healthcare administration, working closely with physicians and hospital administrators.  


The Department of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine has Affiliate Partnerships where our faculty radiologist are focused on providing quality patient care, education and research. Harris Health Systems ,CHI-Baylor St. Luke's, Texas Children's Hospital and Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center are located in the Texas Medical Center. 


This position is located at Baylor College of Medicine's Main Campus, in the Radiology, Chair and Administration office.


The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, have strong analytical and process improvement skills, and is committed to meeting deadlines and goals for organization success. Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with Clinical systems (PACS, Epic EHR, and QGenda (or similar clinical scheduling software) strongly preferred. Previous work experience in an academic medicine environment is a preferred.

Job Duties

  • Acts as Department liaison for Harris Health Systems, BSLMC and CHI Community Hospital services.
  • Coordinates with Affiliate Partner’s on joint service lines.
  • Collaborates with CMO office to identify radiology Key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilizes data analysis to support 90-day Performance Improvement Initiatives
  • Coordinates IT services at Baylor College of Medicine and at the hospitals we provide services.
  • Supports Affiliate Facilities with the appropriate access to BCM systems to support patient care workflow.
  • Manages workforce efforts to staff all service lines.
  • Leads special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Clinical Faculty Support and Communications.
  • Communicates key issues and new initiatives to clinical faculty
  • Manages Credentialing and onboarding of new clinical faculty.
  • Ensures Training, Environmental Safety, HIPAA, Billing Compliance…
  • Maintains and distributes dosimetry safety badges.
  • Maintains access request for clinical systems.
  • Maintains Reading Rooms, equipment/workstations.
  • Creates and maintains Provider productivity reports.
  • Maintains CFTE reporting and rosters.
  • Develops reporting to track performance of Services, Providers and Facilities.
  • Maintain Baylor College of Medicine's Effort Reporting for Department Faculty.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. 
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant discipline (MBA, MHA, or equivalent).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in Radiology or other hospital based service.
  • Experience working in an academic medicine environment.
