Summary

The Senior Business Operations Associate will contribute to the strategic direction of business operations of Student Services by recommending and implementing changes and process improvements to ensure that current and long-term goals are met.

 

The Associate will perform and oversee the daily operations, primarily in the areas of:

1. Financial Management and Compliance - 60%

2. Human Resources and Administration - 40%

 

Hybrid work schedule working onsite two days per week.

Job Duties

  • Develop, manage, and control budgets and financial data.
  • Establish financial and operational systems to monitor, control, and verify expenditures and carry out financial analyses.
  • Assist with preparation of annual goals and strategic plans.
  • Submit budget revisions and recommends budget changes when necessary.
  • Prepare monthly P & L reporting and analysis for restricted and unrestricted operating results.
  • Reconcile G/L accounts, resolve discrepancies, and provide justification for account variances.
  • Manage human resources activities including initiating personnel actions within the SuccessFactors system to recruit, onboard, and terminate faculty and staff and allocating personnel in PEPT.
  • Maintain the database for tracking unfilled positions and may participate in the interviewing process.
  • Responsible for maintaining the database for all contracts and agreements negotiated with the Academic areas, IT, and various external Partners.
  • Actively collaborate with key department and College stakeholders to maximize effective business operations.
  • Implement policies and guidelines for academic activities.
  • Review and approve document in SAP/SRM and Concur.
  • Create and process documents and journal entries in SAP, process shopping carts in SRM, and reimbursements and expense allocation in Concur.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. 
  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel experience.
