The SAP Reimplementation team at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is looking for a Senior Business Applications Analyst/Associate to be part of the HR team that supports and enhances the HR business processes and systems. This role will focus on business requirements and processes and the ongoing alignment and improvement of technology to support those processes and requirements. SuccessFactors/Employee Central will be the primary technology. This role requires the person to be able to utilize strong organizational, coordination and communications skills, combined with application (mainly SuccessFactors) knowledge to effectively engage with stakeholders and identify, design, and deploy technological solutions. This position will engage directly with business stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.  This role will be best suited for a candidate with great HR Business and IT exposure, and with the ability to coordinate activities, projects, etc. across multiple functional areas (e.g. HR, IT, Finance).

This team at Baylor College of Medicine is focused on the ongoing technical support of SuccessFactors and SAP HR, as well as transformation projects which leverage SAP technologies to transform and simplify operational processes, providing better outcomes and information. This position will play a key role in stakeholder engagement as well as the overall support and transformation efforts. This position is located at O'Quinn Towers, in the Texas Medical Center and reports to the Director, Business Applications.

Job Duties

  • Engage with Business stakeholders across the organization to determine requirements and establish technological solutions
  • Lead small and mid-size projects
  • Include creation of project plans, activity tracking and status updates
  • Contribute to other projects/initiatives
  • Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve application problems and data discrepancies of medium to complex nature with the ability to provide documentation and proposed resolution
  • Define and document business requirements
  • Transition business requirements into technological solutions
  • Design, develop and test new solutions (SuccessFactors Employee Central)
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement requirements
  • Create and maintain activity logs, issue logs and status reports
  • Monitor tickets/incidents and interact with users to resolve issues
  • Coordinate or contribute to SF Release updates
  • Provide on-call support across the team as needed (e.g. during Payroll processing)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.  Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement. 
  • Four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration or other technical/IT degree
  • Six or more years of SAP HCM Functional experience supporting SAP US Payroll and Timekeeping & Scheduling systems
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate business needs to technical people and to communicate and simplify complex technical information for non-technical users
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Ability to balance the demands of projects, maintenance and support, customer expectations, and staff development in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coach, develop and motivate others
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • SAP HCM or SuccessFactors Employee Central certifications is a plus
  • Prior experience working with Healthcare or HigherEd industry
