Job Title:  Revenue Integrity Analyst

Salary Range:  $63,052 to $74,178
FLSA Status:  Exempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing, identifying improvement opportunities, and resolving revenue cycle issues.  Ensures accurate and compliant charge capture, billing, and reimbursement processes. Maintains the integrity of revenue cycle operations by analyzing charge data, decreasing denials through systematic process improvements, and collaborating with clinical and financial teams.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong operational skills and ability to gain the confidence of Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) providers, clinical staff, and other partners. The ability to display a professional and executive, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills required and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. Can demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues. Is highly detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills.


This position is located at our Greenway Plaza location.

Job Duties

  • Analyzes data and trends and makes recommendations for improvement to include but not limited to revenue capture.
  • Participates in planning and developing methods for process improvement implementation and administration associated with the revenue cycle.
  • Conducts audits and root-cause analyses on billing errors, charge capture issues, and denial trends.
  • Prepares and presents reports on revenue integrity metrics, reimbursement variances, and charge reconciliation outcomes.
  • Recommends modifications to methods or procedures, as required to redirect activities and ensure that objectives are met.
  • May meet with service lines and faculty, using EHR information specific to their services.
  • May develop databases for administrative projects using EHR information.
  • Reviews EHR work queues and identify trends for systematic improvements.
  • Acts as liaison between clinical departments, affiliates, and revenue cycle teams to educate on correct charge capture and compliance.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, working with IS/IT on system configurations and ensuring compliance with payer requirements.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field. Four years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement. 
  • Three years of relevant experience.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word). 
  • Experience in an academic and clinical setting. 
  • Experience working with EPIC.
