Summary
The Hodges Lab in the Center for Precision Environmental Health is looking for a talented individual to join the team. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated with existing research experience capable of independently preparing and organizing lab reagents, performing experiments, record keeping, and producing novel ideas.
Job Duties
- Contributes to a vibrant, friendly, and energetic laboratory environment.
- Interacts with others via effective verbal and written communication.
- Insures that lab standards are being followed.
- Conducts cell culture and molecular biology research experiments.
- Evaluates and analyzes data.
- Follows established protocols and complex procedures required for specific research projects.
- Documents results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.
- Track the inventory for reagents and ensure necessary supplies are stocked.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree basic science or in a related field.
- 2-3 years of previous molecular biology laboratory experience.
