Job Description:

Summary

The Restoring Joint Health and Function to Reduce Pain (RE-JOIN) consortium is a large, transdisciplinary team science effort that brings scientists from multiple institutions together to better understand the origins of joint pain in diseases such as osteoarthritis. At BCM, the RE-JOIN team consists of five research groups, including the Lee lab, that have joined forces to tackle this research question. We are searching for a Research Technician III to join our team to help us characterize the molecular and cellular changes that mediate pain in the knee joint. The Research Technician III will be responsible for performing exercise and behavioral experiments with mouse models of joint disease. In addition, they will perform tissue clearing and 3D imaging experiments of mouse knee joints. This includes, but is not limited to, tissue collection, fixation, decalcification, tissue clearing, immunostaining, and whole-mount 3D imaging using lightsheet fluorescence microscopy.
