Job Purpose

The Patient-derived Xenograft and Advanced In vivo Models Core is an Advanced Technology Core Laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine. Job Duties
  • Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments. 
  • Collects, compiles and critically analyzes data.
  • Performs blood collection and surgical procedures on rodents.
  • Administers treatments to rodents by oral gavage, intraperitoneal injection, or subcutaneous injection.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in cell culture techniques.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study. 
  • Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a basic science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mouse handling experience
