Job Purpose

The Williams Lab is seeking a passionate and motivated technician to help our young lab grow! Research in the lab focuses on the coordination of embryonic development using genetic, live imaging, and synthetic embryology approaches in zebrafish.

Job Duties
  • Maintain a zebrafish colony, ordering and preparing supplies and reagents, and carrying out experiments under supervision of senior lab members.
  • Prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments.
  • Collect, compile and analyze data.
  • Conduct literature searches and summarize information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Document results of experiments.
  • Select, evaluate and apply techniques used in routine research.
  • Order laboratory supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.

Experience:

  • None required.

Certification/Licenses/
Registration:

  • None required.
Preferred Qualifications

Applicants with experience in zebrafish, molecular biology, and/or programming are particularly encouraged to apply, but we are happy to provide training in necessary laboratory skills.
