This is a position available in the Baylor Knockout Mouse Phenotyping Project Production and Phenotyping group. The Research Technician II will perform routine techniques using standard laboratory procedures and genetically modified mice.

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
  • Conducts laboratory procedures: mouse husbandry, survival and terminal mouse procedures, molecular biology including cloing and standard rea-time PCR genotyping.
  • Collects, compiles and analyzes data; data entry into a research database.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Documents results of experiments.
  • Selects, evaluates and applies techniques used in routine research.
  • Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
