Summary
The section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Research Technician II for Dr. Francesca Polverino's Lab. Applicants are sought to support laboratory investigations and perform the routine elements of research work that requires the use of skills, technical and academic knowledge to follow established procedures and record results. The lab is seeking highly self-motivated individuals to provide research support, technical assistance, and lab organization.
Job Duties
- Prepare and conduct laboratory research experiments including immunostaining, microscopy, tissue handling, rodent handling.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data generated from the above experiments.
- Conducts literature search and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments.
- Selects, evaluates, and applies techniques used in routine research that includes immunostaining, microscopy, tissue handling, rodent handling.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned and as needed that includes tissue processing or inventory management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Be able to perform lab experiments that involves PCR, WB, cell culture.
- Be self-motivated to provide research support, technical assistance, and lab organization.
