Summary
Dr. Putluri's lab is applying mass spectrometry technology to study metabolic profiling studies in cancer development and progression. Our lab established a robust research program in bladder cancer research.
Job Duties
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure proper calibration, and manage inventory of laboratory supplies and consumables.
- Perform routine cell culture maintenance, including cell line propagation, quality control, and cryopreservation.
- Conduct molecular and biochemical assays, including qPCR, Western blotting, and mass spectrometry sample preparation.
- Maintain mouse colonies, including breeding, genotype, animal husbandry coordination, drug dosing, and tumor measurements.
- Collect, analyze, document, and organize experimental data and research results.
- Prepare figures, summaries, and presentations for weekly laboratory meetings and research discussions.
- Prepare laboratory buffers, reagents, media, and other materials required for daily laboratory operations.
- Coordinate sample transfers, collaborative experiments, and research activities with internal and external laboratories.
- Ensure compliance with institutional safety regulations, animal care protocols, and laboratory standard operating procedures.
- Work under junior faculties and postdocs and new laboratory personnel on experimental procedures and equipment usage.
- Support overall laboratory management, including record keeping, protocol documentation, and maintenance of research databases.
- Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- No experience required.
