Summary

The Molecular Neurobiology Group at Baylor College of Medicine has an open position for a Research Technician I. The Molecular Neurobiology Group is dedicated to the use and development of new tools and innovative technologies for understanding neural circuit function in memory, behavior and physiology.

Job Purpose

We seek a highly motivated and well-organized individual with experience in molecular and genetic techniques centered around the mouse model system. We'll reward your passion and skills along with a strong understanding of these areas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Proficiency in cellular and molecular techniques including plasmid DNA and cell culture techniques
  • Rodent handling and husbandry
  • Proficiency with productivity software including Microsoft Office and Adobe products, databases, and other management/organization software
  • Inventory, management and ordering of equipment, consumables and supplies

  • Ensuring compliance with national, state and local regulations

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Required: Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
Experience:
  • Required: One year of relevant experience.

Registration:
