Summary
The laboratory of Dr. Mingshan Xue (https://www.bcm.edu/research/labs/mingshan-xue) in the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute (NRI) is seeking applicants for a technician position. The technician will work in a multi-disciplinary team to study mouse models of neurodevelopmental disorders. The work will focus on analysis of EEG data from mouse models of epilepsy. The work is repetitive in nature and requires the abililty to focuse on details for an extended period of time.
Job Duties
- Inspects and removes recording artifacts from the EEG data.
- Identifies pathological events from the EEG data.
- Classifies brain states based on EEG data.
- Organizes and present results.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
