Summary
The Systems Onco-Immunology Lab (SOIL) https://www.bcm.edu/departments/surgery/research/systems-onco-immunology-lab at Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery is seeking an enthusiastic Research Technician I to support with research projects in the field of tumor immunology and immunotherapy. The research will focus on thoracic malignancies that includes lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma to identify and develop novel therapeutic approaches for these malignancies.
Job Duties
- Prepares and conducts laboratory research experiments.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes human and mouse data.
- Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Documents results of experiments.
- Selects, evaluates, and applies techniques used in routine research.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Work Authorization Requirement:
