Summary
Part-time Research Program Management Associate in Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) Gastroenterology Section. Will serve as a go-to resource, contributing to program growth and strategic planning related to research projects funded by the NIH/NCI and CPRIT examining care and outcomes in patients with liver diseases. This position will coordinate research operations to ensure that current and long-term research goals of this large, grant-funded research program are met. This role requires a high level of autonomy and expertise necessary for managing research operations and advising on research methodology. This part-time position is for 8 hours of work per week.
Job Duties
- Perform essential planning and coordination activities related to multi-site longitudinal programs before and after launch.
- Organize timelines, monthly meetings (setting agenda, preparing presentations, following up on action items), ensure teams stay on study timelines, follow up on deliverables from each site.
- Manage the complexities involved in this level of coordination.
- Organize and participate in collaborative activities with other study sites as well as NIH.
- Assist PI in responding to NIH requires regular reports and updates.
- Prepare presentations for local, regional and national meetings, including representing the program externally with our national partners and guiding study design and procedural decisions with our collaborators.
- Oversee research and may help conduct research if the study team needs help.
- Design and maintain research project tracking and conduct data exports as needed.
- Design and maintain projects’ information based on sponsor specifications. There could be several large projects underway at a given point in time, making this an important management task.
- Maintain essential records, including budget information, effort tracking, and audit documentation.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of relevant experience.
