Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine research group is hiring a full-time research project coordinator. Main responsibilities will include contacting and scheduling study participants, administering psychological tests and interviews, test scoring and data entry, processing of blood and saliva samples.

Job Duties

Generic Duty:

  • Interviews, screen and recruits patients for study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.

Specific Position Duty:

  • Will make initial contact with study participants, perform phone screening evaluations to determine eligibility, and schedule study visits

Generic Duty:

  • Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.

Specific Position Duty: 

  • Schedules MRI scans for research participants and trains research participants to prepare them for brain imaging MRI scanning procedures.

Generic Duty:

  • Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database. May perform Venipuncture (blood draws), EKGs/ECG’s and obtain vital signs on study participants.

Specific Position Duty:

  •  Will administer psychological tests and other assessments measures and will then score and enter the data into study record forms and databases.
  • Process blood and saliva samples to prepare them for storage and shipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
