The Pediatric Pulmonary Section is actively seeking a motivated Research Coordinator to join our team. In this exciting role, the research coordinator will work with infant, pediatric, and adult subjects who have cystic fibrosis. This position coordinates the day-to-day activities of numerous clinical research protocols, including clinical trials from Phase II- IV.

The ideal candidate will be highly driven, self-motived, and eager to work both independently as well as be part of a dynamic team of research coordinators and physicians.

Job Purpose

The coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the research studies under the supervision of the primary investigator, including regulatory requirements, communicating with study sponsors, recruitment of subjects, accurate data collection and documentation, oversight of the safety of study subjects, data entry, and more.

Additionally, this position is very hands on with the opportunity to utilize or develop numerous clinical skills including pulmonary function testing, ECG, venipuncture, sample collection, etc.

Job Duties
  • Interviews, screens and recruits patients for study; explains process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study.
  • Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database.
  • Maintains records and regulatory documents and records for research studies.
  • Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.
  • Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.
  • Corresponds with patient throughout study.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • Required: Two years of relevant experience.
