The Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine section within the Department of Medicine seeking a Research Coordinator to work with our POST COVID Care Clinic. This person would perform duties associated with coordinating, implementing and balancing patients and data from the clinic for research use. They will assist in project planning, and ensuring that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. The individual will recruit and coordinate research subjects, as appropriate. The Research Coordinator is accountable for delivering established goals, utilizing good judgment, and demonstrating knowledge and skills in the area of expertise while maintaining expected quality standards.

Job Duties

  • Recruits patients for various studies and provides patient/participant education.
  • Collects patient information and maintains database.
  • Collects, processes, ships, and maintains paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • Schedules research participant for tests and procedures specific for the research protocol.
  • Retrieves and submits test results to appropriate party.
  • Corresponds with patient throughout study.
  • Orders supplies and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Organized, self-motivated, teamwork, works well under pressure, multitasking.
  • EPIC experience.
