Research Coordinators are an integral commodity for clinical research. The position requires candidates with attention to detail, good judgment and the ability to multitask and maintain organization. They are primarily responsible for the complete management and monitoring of assigned clinical studies. They liaise with the PI's to ensure timelines, data compilation and compliance.

Job Duties

  • The Research Coordinator is responsible for IRB submissions, interviewing, screening and recruiting patients, site initiation visits, interim monitoring visits and close-out studies, explaining processes and procedures to educate the participants regarding the respective research study.
  • Schedules research participant for tests and procedures such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol. 
  • Collects patient information; processes documents and enters information into a database.
  • Collects, processes, ships, and maintains paperwork for blood and/or biological specimens according to procedures outlined in study protocol.
  • Responsible for maintaining records and regulatory documents and records for respective research studies.
  • Ensures retrieval and submits test results to appropriate party.
  • Provides correspondence to the patients as necessary.
  • Establishing and managing IRB's.
  • Managing investigational drug accountability.
  • Manging investigational site file.
  • Navigation of electronic data capture systems.
  • Navigations of BRAIN.
  • Ability to work with Advarra IRB and Western IRB Ability to coordinate, manage and complete the required submissions, amendments and renewals to the IRB.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with FDA and other governing entities. IRB and full study spectrum experience necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.
