Summary

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Baylor College of Medicine serves as a tertiary referral site, providing state-of-the-art medical care to patients with IBD. In addition to providing cutting edge medical care, we also support research by offering the latest early and late stage clinical trials in IBD. We are seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Research Coordinator II. This position will function in the clinical research section of the Department of Gastroenterology and The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, under the leadership of the PI Dr. Manreet Kaur. The Research Coordinator II will function in a capacity in which they manage, coordinate, and facilitate clinical research trials throughout their duration. Job Duties

  • Screens, enrolls, and monitors research subjects.
  • Participates in the management of various aspects of clinical trials involving human subjects.
  • Works with other members of the study team - nurses, physicians and regulatory support.
  • Collects and records data in an electronic database.
  • Responds to data queries.
  • Conducts drug accountability.
  • Ships frozen and ambient lab specimens.
  • Participates in protocol specific training.
  • Works on several studies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working in clinical trials with human subjects.
  • Candidates with prior experience in regulatory and industry-sponsored clinical research.
  • Ability to multi-task is critical to this role.
