Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Section of Psychology (Housed within Texas Children’s Hospital).
A Full-Time Research Coordinator position (40 hours per week) is available to assist with a behavioral research study focused on youth and college students. The research is focused on addressing the health disparities in diabetes and mental health.
Job Duties
- Patient Recruitment
- Specific Position Duty - Determines eligibility and recruits patients for research participation.
- Study Implementation
- Specific Position Duty - Schedules study visits, obtains informed consent, administers participant incentives.
- IRB protocols and Abstract Preparation
- Specific Position Duty - drafting IRB protocols and working closely with the Principal Investigator to identify problems with project implementation and determine solutions. Opportunities to assist with manuscript or abstract preparation.
- Intervention
- Specific Position Duty - delivering a manualized behavioral intervention to youth and parents via a virtual platform.
- Data/documentation collection and maintenance
- Specific Position Duty - collecting research data using questionnaires with parents, youth, and college students.
- Specific Position Duty - collecting research data using questionnaires with parents, youth, and college students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Clinical research experience.
