The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Research Coordinator II to join our distinguished institution, that is in the Upper Kirby district location in Houston, Texas. This position will serve as the project coordinator in providing administrative and collaborative efforts for our research grants, which includes assisting all project staff and the Project Director with the administrative tasks involved in planning, evaluation, communication between collaborating organizations, grant reporting, and information dissemination. The Coordinator will also assist with evaluation tasks and serve as liaison between the collaborating organizations.

Job Duties

  • Point of contact for participants and collaborators on research grants. Collect data regarding the research initiatives and perform database entry and management.
  • Maintain records and regulatory documents for the projects.
  • Schedule research participants for lab test and other studies specific for the research projects.
  • Retrieve and submit test results to appropriate parties.
  • Order supplies and equipment associated with the research project.
  • Assist project director with grant reporting requirements. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Prior experience working on grant related projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with database entry and management.
  • Attention to detail.
