Summary
Our department provides OB/GYN services at two affiliated institutions: Ben Taub and TCH Pavilion for Women (PFW). This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of research protocols, including NIH-funded trials such as the CHAP Follow-Up Studies, as well as sponsored trials like PinkDx PROACTION. Additionally, this role will play a key part in supporting upcoming sponsored studies.
Job Duties
- Includes overseeing participant screening, enrollment, and monitoring to ensure adherence to study protocols.
- Ensures accurate and timely collection, documentation, and organization of data and specimens, while prioritizing the safety and well-being of research participants.
- Develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to engage participants in long-term clinical research studies.
- Under the CHAP Follow Up Studies, coordinates with psychology department neurocognitive assessors and Baylor OB/Gyn research laboratory personnel.
- Candidate will receive on the job training of phlebotomy and EKGs/ECGs prior to performing on study participants.
- After training candidate may perform Venipuncture (blood draws), EKGs/ECG’s and obtain vital signs on study participants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year working in clinical trials involving human subjects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional in urgent or high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with EPIC systems and clinical databases.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
