Summary
The Section of Epidemiology and Population Sciences is seeking a research coordinator II for a community-engaged environmental health research study. The coordinator will coordinate day to day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. They will also ensure accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants.
Job Duties
Specific research activities may include the following:
- Facilitate and conduct community outreach activities to educate the residents and other stakeholders within the study area about the research study.
- Screen, recruit, and enroll study participants from the study area. They will explain the study processes and procedures to educate participants regarding the research study.
- Collect information via interviews; process documents and enter information into a database.
- Contact research participants by phone or email to collect participant information or communicate important research-related information.
- Make necessary arrangements to deliver data collection materials to the study participants and continue to provide additional research material for data collection.
- Perform general project management needs. For example, printing study materials, processing mailings, etc.
- Work in the database for tracking study participants, consent status, and sample collection.
- Maintain records and regulatory documents and records for research studies.
- Receive on-the-job training if/when critical to the mission of the study.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in data science or related.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Familiarity with community-engaged public health research.
- Experience answering or administering questionnaire.
- Experience with using or designing computer-based survey instrument (e.g., RedCAP, SurveyMonkey).
