This is a temporary non-benefits eligible position through July 31st.  Position requires commuting to sites throughout Houston (inside the Beltway 8).


The Institute for Clinical & Translational Research is seeking a Recruiter to support our COVID research. "SARS-COV-2 Prevalence Study" is a clinical study by the COVID-19 Prevention Network (CoVPN) and funded by the NIH/NIAID. This study aims to work with a network of organizations in the rapid evaluation of COVID-19 treatment and prevention strategies.  The Recruiter will coordinate overall daily recruitment activities of this study, including recruiting, screening, and consenting study participants. 



Job Duties


  • Identify study participants and invite them to participate in the CoVPN study.
  • Interview, screen, and recruit participants for the study. 
  • Explain processes and procedures to educate participants regarding the research study. 
  • May collect patient information; processes, document, and enter information into a database; and maintain research study database.
  • Assist the driver and coordinator to establish an environment for sample and data collection each morning including setup and breakdown of tents, tables, and chairs at the study site.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field will be considered in lieu of the required experience.
  • Candidates who speak Spanish fluently.
