Coordinates day-to-day activities of research protocols which include screening, enrollment, and monitoring of research participants. Ensures accurate data collection, documentation, organization and safety of research participants. Research coordinator will be a member of the Baylor College of Medicine's Pediatric Palliative Care team at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.

Job Duties
  • Maintain databases for various Palliative Care studies.
  • Review medical records to extract data related to Palliative Care Research participants.
  • Report monthly data retrieved and organized for various projects to the section leadership.
  • Interview, screen and recruit patients for study; explain process and procedures to educate participant regarding the research study as needed to support the Palliative Care research team.
  • Collect patient information; process documents and enter information into a database.
  • May collect, process, ship, and maintain paperwork outlined in study protocol.
  • Maintain records and regulatory documents and record for research studies.
  • Retrieve and submit test results to appropriate party.
  • May correspond with patient throughout study.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience Required: Three years of relevant experience.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
