Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Research Coordinator 1 for a clinical research study with Dr. Ellen Teng. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a clinical research setting. The Research Coordinator I will be primarily responsible for research duties while also assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. This position will include data collection, organization, scoring, and management. The Research Coordinator I will also assist with preparation of reports and perform tasks such as participant recruitment and screening, scheduling, payment, and record-keeping. This position will physically sit at the MEDVAMC.
Job Duties
- Assists with preparation and maintenance of intervention and assessment materials.
- Conducts data entry and management, including extracting and compiling data from self-reports, diagnostic interviews, and medical records.
- Conducts recruitment and screening tasks and assists with participant coordination and scheduling.
- Implements appropriate activities for participant retention and follow-up procedures as directed.
- Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
- Assists the project coordinator with various administrative tasks, such as recruitment tracking and progress reports.
- Facilitates and manages participant payments.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related Social Science field.
- Experience in healthcare or research settings.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
