Salary Range:  $39,150 - $45,000
FLSA Status:  Nonexempt
Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Research Coordinator 1 for a clinical research study with Dr. Ellen Teng. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask in a clinical research setting. The Research Coordinator I will be primarily responsible for research duties while also assisting with clinical and administrative tasks. This position will include data collection, organization, scoring, and management. The Research Coordinator I will also assist with preparation of reports and perform tasks such as participant recruitment and screening, scheduling, payment, and record-keeping.  This position will physically sit at the MEDVAMC. 

Job Duties

  • Assists with preparation and maintenance of intervention and assessment materials.
  • Conducts data entry and management, including extracting and compiling data from self-reports, diagnostic interviews, and medical records.
  • Conducts recruitment and screening tasks and assists with participant coordination and scheduling.
  • Implements appropriate activities for participant retention and follow-up procedures as directed.
  • Conducts literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.
  • Assists the project coordinator with various administrative tasks, such as recruitment tracking and progress reports.
  • Facilitates and manages participant payments.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related Social Science field.
  • Experience in healthcare or research settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
