Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

Seeking experienced Research Associate to execute pre-IND enabling studies using adoptive cell based therapies for the treatment of cancer. The Research Associate should have experience in molecular biology techniques, cell culture and genomic analyses. Furthermore, they should understand the regulatory landscape involved in meeting FDA requirements for the development of cell based therapeutics. The Research Associate will have responsibilities focused on bench level scientific activities and the efficient preparation of well-documented materials suitable for FDA IND-enabling studies. The Research Associate is expected to assist other members of our research team and communicate closely with them to perform complex multi-person scientific tasks.

Job Duties

  • Assist other research scientists in our laboratory group to perform and analyze cell and tumor materials.
  • Conduct cell culture based experiments and the handle of animal tissues. 
  • Participate in translational research focused on gaining FDA approval of cell-based therapies.
  • Perform Pre-IND enabling research and development activities related to small molecule compound development. 
  • Write detailed reports and other complex reporting requirements associated with FDA approval of therapies for use in first-in-human clinical trials.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.  Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have strong experience in cell-based therapies and in drug development efforts.
  • Academic and/or company experience in bringing therapeutic agents into clinical trials.
  • Must be highly motivated individual who can both work independently and as a team member within a large research laboratory setting.
