Job Purpose

Performs responsible research work of a complex nature that requires establishing test methods and procedures as well as planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor.

Job Duties

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide technical assistance in molecular assays and lab maintenance. The individual should be highly organized and detail oriented. The lab provides an interactive and stimulating environment and opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will be expected to perform assays including small animal surgery, mouse husbandry, real time RT-PCR, and Western blotting , etc.

-        Experience in handling mice and small animal surgery preferred.

-        A background in cardiovascular research or gene regulation preferred.

-        Expected to have excellent time management and organizational skills, and will be required to collect, analyze and appropriately document experimental results.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.
Experience:
  • Required: Three years of relevant experience.
