Job Purpose

Performs responsible research work that requires planning, completing, and occasionally supervising limited research projects in accordance with general plans approved by the supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

Design, gather and analyze the research data and present.

Develop the new assay for the metabolomics core.

Involve the development of unbiased metabolomics service.

Interpret mass spectrometry data.

Able to work multiple projects.

Develop metabolic flux in vivo model.

Document results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.

Evaluate and analyze data.

Conduct literature searches and summarizes information in an appropriate format for a particular study.

Document results of experiments and reports to principal investigators.

Define problems and possible solutions.

Oversee the maintenance of lab equipment and environment.

Maintain ilab.

Prepare quotes and make charges through ilab.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in a basic science or related field.
  • Required: Two years of relevant experience.
  • None required.
Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field

Some metabolomics experience

Prior hands-on experience with a variety of sample preparation techniques

Experience with LC-MS and/or GC-MS is also a plus

Excellent skills in experimental design, implementation, troubleshooting, and data analysis
