Job Purpose

Manages and coordinates the activities of related to development of protocol research and works with the office of research to identify and resolve barriers to research development.

Job Duties
  • Manages development of protocol research to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
  • Analyzes project goals, plans schedule of deadlines for project completion, and develops action plan and processes for project completion from inception to evaluation. 
  • Coordinates efforts between ICTR, the Office of Research and clinical scientists; coordinates activities; provides guidance to personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of the project.
  • May prepare or participate in the preparation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedures manuals, and other written material and documentation as required.
  • Develops recommends and implements necessary improvements and changes.
  • Trains coworkers and new employees on process improvement methods and completed project deliverables. 
  • Confers with staff to explain project and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of project.
  • May coordinate the scheduling of all projects both in-house and with outside vendors. 
  • Monitors project costs and schedule to ensure that the project does not exceed the approved budget. 
Minimum Qualifications


·         Required: Bachelor's degree.

·         Required: Two years of relevant experience.
