Summary
We are seeking a motivated Radiological Technologist to join the Department of Neurology. This position will perform patient care and technical skills in the operation of Autonomic Equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. This is a new position to support our newly established Goradia Dysautonomia Center.
This is a full-time position is located in the Medical Center at our McNair Outpatient clinic.
Job Duties
- Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by reviewing the exam order
- Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.
- Quality control is performed on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis, as required for the X-ray machine category
- Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
- Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
- Practices safety measures in radiography and Environment of Care.
- Participates in research projects.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- No experience required.
- Certification and Registration as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and Licensure as a Medical Radiological Technologist or Limited Medical Radiological Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Neurology experience.
- Previous experience operating Tilt Tables.
