Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Summary

The Psychology Fellow program offers specialized training structured according to one of six tracks: (1) Autism Spectrum Disorder/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, (2) Obsessive-Compulsive & Anxiety Disorders, (3) Pediatric Primary Care Psychology, (4) Pediatric Psychology, (5) Early Childhood, and (6) Neuropsychology.  Each track corresponds with training in the major training area, and fellows in each track also expand competencies through a minor clinical training experience, research/scholarship experience, and structured didactic/professional development activities. 

Throughout the year, fellows typically spend approximately 80% time in activities related to clinical service provision (60% in the major training area and 20% in the minor clinical experience, including supervision), 10% in research/scholarship, and 10% time in didactics/professional development.

 

Baylor College of Medicine typically follows similar to the NIH stipulated stipend guidelines for Postdoctoral Associates.

Job Duties

  • Works on activities that includes treatment, case conceptualization, and clinical research under the guidance of faculty who serve as clinical and/or research supervisors. 
  • Performs activities that include treatment, case conceptualization, and clinical research.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD from an accredited doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology. Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship  no more than five years prior to the initial appointment date.
  • Experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting. Experience administering psychological test batteries, including projective measures.
