It is known for excellence in education, research, and healthcare and community service.  The Menninger Clinic is seeking a Moonlighting/PRN Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) to provide clinical coverage on weekends and holidays. The Staff Physician helps provide medical assessments and follow-up management for adult and adolescent patients admitted to The Menninger Clinic for psychiatric care. The ideal candidate works well in a multi-disciplinary team environment that emphasizes communication and collegiality in providing a comprehensive approach to care.

 

Position Duties

  • Review admission history and physicals
  • Consultation for medical problems occurring after admission and
  • Medical management of chronic conditions in the hospital.

 

Position Qualifications

Must have an M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of an approved residency in internal medicine or family medicine; board-certified by the respective certifying board for internal medicine or family medicine; current license to practice medicine in the State of Texas; DEA registration; and current CPR certification; five (5) years of post-residency work experience in a related area of specialty; must be able to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and possess knowledge of therapeutic modalities employed by team members and the assigned clinical program
