Summary
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist at the Assistant Professor level to join the OCD and Related Disorders Program within the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. The ideal candidate will provide evidence-based clinical care, contribute to the training and supervision of learners, and engage in scholarly activities. This includes participation in clinical research, dissemination of findings, and collaboration on department initiatives that integrate clinical service with academic inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based clinical services to individuals with obsessive-compulsive and related disorders in the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic.
- Supervise and mentor trainees, including students, residents, and fellows, offering structured feedback, evaluation, and guidance to enhance their clinical and professional development.
- Conduct clinical psychology research, with opportunities to lead and collaborate on department-supported research initiatives.
- Disseminate research findings through presentations, collaboration with community and academic stakeholders, and engagement with advocacy organizations.
- Maintain an active publication record, contributing as both first and co-author on peer-reviewed papers annually.
- Provide training to clinical researchers and therapists on clinical procedures, including use of therapy manuals and implementation of experimental tasks.
- Teach and mentor learners using varied instructional methods, including lectures, seminars, and workshops, fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
- Collaborate with educational leadership to provide updates on trainee progress and contribute to department- and institution-level mission-driven educational initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Completion of an internship and postdoctoral fellowship
- Licensed as a clinical psychologist in the state of Texas
- Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, education, and scholarly productivity
