Summary

The goal of Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Centers Summer Internship Program, is to allow students the opportunity to gain research experience. The 8-week paid internship in pediatric hematology/oncology research is designed for undergraduate university and high school students over the age of 16. Students will be mentored throughout this process, and will be provided with new skills and techniques to enhance their knowledge. The program will begin on Monday, June 1, 2020 and end on Friday, July 24, 2020.

Job Duties
  • Assist with research in the Pediatric, Hematology/Oncology.
  • Under the mentorship of a Faculty member, candidates will be taught basic research skills and mentoring for their future career path.
  • Assist with setting up experiments, collecting  data, and assisting with processing data.

 

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education Required: Must be a high school student or recent high school graduate
  • Experience Required: None Required.
  • Certification/Licenses/Registration: None Required.
Other
  • Must be at least 16 years old and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 scale.
