The South Central AIDS Education & Training Center (SCAETC) at Baylor College of Medicine is one of the regional offices of the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program. This intern position will have dedicated duties for programs/projects for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded grant for the South Central AIDS Education and Training Center (SCAETC). A team member is needed for 15 hours per week to help the BCM Houston AIDS Education and Training Center with administrative duties and preparation of research grant submission to support HIV public health initiatives

Job Duties

  • Assists with grant development Organize meetings.
  • Sends calendar invites.
  • Creates agenda and documents minutes.
  • Follows-up on action items.
  • Develops and obtains research grant support materials.
  • Tracks research grant tasks and needs.
  • Creates surveys.
  • Drafts tables and figures.
  • Drafts abstracts or posters.
  • Reviews draft documents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Required: Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using management and data programs like Excel, survey platforms, Zotero, etc.
  • Experience drafting or writing abstracts, posters, or articles.
