Job Purpose

The South Central AIDS Education & Training Center (SCAETC) at Baylor College of Medicine is one of the regional offices of the AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program. This intern position will have dedicated duties for programs/projects for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded grant for the South Central AIDS Education and Training Center (SCAETC). A team member is needed for 15 hours per week to help the BCM Houston AIDS Education and Training Center with administrative duties and preparation of research grant submission to support HIV public health initiatives.

Job Duties

Responsible for one or more of the following duties:

  • Assist with grant development
  • Organize meetings
  • Send calendar invites
  • Create agenda and document minutes
  • Follow-up on action items
  • Develop and obtain research grant support materials
  • Track research grant tasks and needs
  • Create surveys
  • Draft tables and figures
  • Draft abstracts or posters
  • Review draft documents
  • Provide feedback and track grant preparation and progress

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using management and data programs like Excel, survey platforms, Zotero, etc.
  • Experience drafting or writing abstracts, posters, or articles.
